"Last Man Standing" New Showrunner, New Actors

Desperate times call for desperate measures, after being sent to Fridays this fall, Last Man Standing has a newly appointed showrunner, Tim Doyle (who made an amazing job at being the showrunner of Better Off Ted and Ellen) who I presume will make some radical changes in an attempt to save the show from the cancellation bear. Among those changes is to recast some of the characters. Therefore, Mike Baxter’s (Allen) eldest daughter, Kristin, previously played by Alexandra Krosney, will be played by Amanda Fuller who recently has been seen in Grey's Anatomy where she starred as Dr. Morgan Peterson, she also made appearances in Scandal (taken into consideration that Grey's Anatomy and Scandal have the same showrunner - the one and only Shonda Rhimes) and in Bones.

Alexandra Krosney, Amanda Fuller

Also to be recast is Boyd, Kristin's 5-year old son, previously played by the twin toddlers, Luke and Evan Kruntchev, now will be played by the newcomer Flynn Morrison. Boyd's father, played by Nick Jonas will added to the list of recast characters as Jonas apparently is not available for the role anymore. The role of Boyd's father has the potential of becoming more than recurring as the new showrunner has plans for it to become a potential foil to Mike.

Last Man Standing returns on Fridays beginning November 2nd.

*Foil - In fiction, a foil is a character who contrasts with another character (usually the protagonist) in order to highlight particular qualities of the other character.A foil's complementary role may be emphasized by physical characteristics. A foil usually either differs drastically or is extremely similar but with a key difference setting them apart.

New Poster for Revenge, First Season Sneak Peek

Is it September 30th yet ? I guess it's not coming fast enough. After a shocking finale delivered by the amazing soapy drama we were left with so many question and if you think those weren't enough the newly released poster for the second season adds one more, what is Emily's next move ?

Since Emily's mom has been identified in the person of Jennifer Jason Leigh I bet first thing on Emily's list is going to be tracking down her mother and the people who are somehow involved in her disappearance.

While waiting for the premiere of the seconds season we have nothing else to do other than to enjoy the new posters for the second season and also a sneak peek for its first season showing us how a simple filming set turns into a beautiful scenery of sand and sun.

Madeleine Stowe | Hats Off To Weird People

I love weird people but not any kind of weird people, you know that kind, they're lovely, humble, their laugh is loud and they get easily embarrassed but they're totally sincere and frank about themselves. I like weird people who know they're weird and that makes them less weird than they think they are. Weird people who say they're not weird that's the kind of people you should stay the hell off. What made me write about is the following video with the remarkable Madeleine Stowe, the devious actress from the ABC show Revenge, my 2011-2012 guilty pleasure. I could not get enough of it and for the most of that is Madeleine's blame.  I particularly chose an image from Revenge 'cause she has the most amazing and still poker face you'll ever see on television. She has a killer-look. She portrays a character I didn't know I've been missing.

I was glad and pleasantly surprised to see her off the set of Revenge.

Don't hesitate to watch the show, you'll love to hate her character. On Sundays ABC's Revenge.

New Regulars and Guest Stars for Touch

As some of you know the Fox series Touch is going through a major makeover as the setting for the second is going to shift from New York to Los Angeles as the characters, Martin and Jake are on the run from people who would exploit Jake's special abilities of identifying patterns that show ways of how people around the world are all connected.

In a statement issued by FOX it's been said that "The story setting shifts from New York to Los Angeles, where single father MARTIN BOHM and his gifted son JAKE are on the run from the mysterious and possibly sinister research facility Aster Corps, which had shown tremendous interest in exploiting Jake’s ability to perceive the hidden patterns that connect people around the world. After arriving on the West Coast, the father-son team met distraught mother LUCY ROBBINS and now are determined to help find her missing – and equally gifted – daughter AMELIA (Sharbino). During their search, their paths will cross with Aster Corps genius CALVIN NORBURG (Haas), as well as TREVOR WILCOX, a journalist and old friend of Martin’s."

For second season we have some casting news. As previously it was announced by TV Fanatic that the show adds a pair of regulars, Lukas Haas and Saxon Sharbino. Haas is expected to play an employee of Aster Corps, the research facility that is going after Martin's son, Jake. Meanwhile Sharbino is going to play the gifted daughter of Lucy Robbins, the character played by another new series regular, Maria Bello.

Also reported today by TV Guide Touch adds another three cast members, one regular, two recurring. The regular gig has been given to Saïd Taghmaoui known for playing Caesar on ABC's Lost and memorable roles on movies like Vantage Point and G.I.Joe The Rise of Cobra. According to The Hollywood Reporter he is set to play  "a smart Jesuit priest-turned-killing machine."

Expected for recurring roles are Ray Santiago (know for his role on Raising Hope) who will play a hacker at BreakWire, the online news outlet that employs Martin (Kiefer Sutherland), and who occasionally watches Martin's mute son, Jake. Also for a recurring role is wanted Adam Campbell (known for his recent role in Parenthood) and he will play a friend and business partner of new series regular Calvin (Lukas Haas).

Although it's been exiled to Fridays I'm keeping hope that with every episode it will rise to the occasion and it will kick some ratings ass. Second starts on October 26 and don't forget to mark your calendars. And make sure you've watched every single episode from its first season and I assure you you will not regret doing that.

Matthew Perry To Return To The Good Wife

The timing for the former FRIENDS star could not be more wrong as he was given the green-light for his new comedy (which premiered last night) in the same day as he sealed the deal with The Good Wife showrunners. Do to his loyalty and commitment to his new comedic role on Go On (NBC) he won't be available for the number of episodes on The Good Wife he's been wanted to.

As reported by TV Guide he was expected to reprise his role interpreting Mike Kreseteva and he says about his character that "I'd never played an all-out bad guy before. The fact that he was basically a sociopath, a guy who would lie to your face, was just so much fun to play," maybe fun for him but not so much to Alicie Florick, who's nemesis his character is going to be. Perry's character will do even more by running up against Alicia's husband, Peter Florick in the gubernatorial race.

I can't wait to enjoy that dog fight. As for the question asked by TV Guide if fans see him in a comedic or dramatic role I'd prefer to see him in more comedic roles because for an actor is a lot more important to be loved by his fans rather than being despised for playing someone's nemesis, but that's just me.

Don't Trust the B--- in Apt. 23 Books Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Frankie Muniz

Don't Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23 is extending its list of stars expected to play themselves and the one who just made the list is Mark-Paul Gosselaar, the star of Saved by the Bell and recently seen on Franklin & Bash. Also set to appear to play himself is Frankie Muniz who was recently seen in a guest starring role on ABC's Last Man Standing. Both actors will appear in the episode where James Van Der Beek crosses paths with actors who happened to have played in their own shows, kind of a revelation for Van Der Beek.

Although I didn't watch Dawson's Creek apparently there is going to be a reunion of some kind as Busy Philips (Cougar Town) who recurred in the 5th season and later became a series regular for Creek's last season booked a guest role on Apt. 23.

Apt. 23 returns Oct. 23.
