The timing for the former FRIENDS star could not be more wrong as he was given the green-light for his new comedy (which premiered last night) in the same day as he sealed the deal with The Good Wife showrunners. Do to his loyalty and commitment to his new comedic role on Go On (NBC) he won't be available for the number of episodes on The Good Wife he's been wanted to.
As reported by TV Guide he was expected to reprise his role interpreting Mike Kreseteva and he says about his character that "I'd never played an all-out bad guy before. The fact that he was
basically a sociopath, a guy who would lie to your face, was just so
much fun to play," maybe fun for him but not so much to Alicie Florick, who's nemesis his character is going to be. Perry's character will do even more by running up against Alicia's husband, Peter Florick in the gubernatorial race.
I can't wait to enjoy that dog fight. As for the question asked by TV Guide if fans see him in a comedic or dramatic role I'd prefer to see him in more comedic roles because for an actor is a lot more important to be loved by his fans rather than being despised for playing someone's nemesis, but that's just me.
