As some of you know the Fox series Touch is going through a major makeover as the setting for the second is going to shift from New York to Los Angeles as the characters, Martin and Jake are on the run from people who would exploit Jake's special abilities of identifying patterns that show ways of how people around the world are all connected.
In a statement issued by FOX it's been said that "The story setting shifts from New York to Los Angeles, where single
father MARTIN BOHM and his gifted son JAKE are on the run from the
mysterious and possibly sinister research facility Aster Corps, which
had shown tremendous interest in exploiting Jake’s ability to perceive
the hidden patterns that connect people around the world. After arriving
on the West Coast, the father-son team met distraught mother LUCY
ROBBINS and now are determined to help find her missing – and equally
gifted – daughter AMELIA (Sharbino). During their search, their paths
will cross with Aster Corps genius CALVIN NORBURG (Haas), as well as
TREVOR WILCOX, a journalist and old friend of Martin’s."

For second season we have some casting news. As previously it was announced by
TV Fanatic that the show adds a pair of regulars,
Lukas Haas and
Saxon Sharbino. Haas is expected to play an employee of Aster Corps, the research facility that is going after Martin's son, Jake. Meanwhile Sharbino is going to play the gifted daughter of Lucy Robbins, the character played by another new series regular,
Maria Bello.
Also reported today by
TV Guide Touch adds another three cast members, one regular, two recurring. The regular gig has been given to
Saïd Taghmaoui known for playing Caesar on ABC's Lost and memorable roles on movies like Vantage Point and G.I.Joe The Rise of Cobra. According to
The Hollywood Reporter he is set to play "a smart Jesuit priest-turned-killing machine."
Expected for recurring roles are Ray Santiago (know for his role on Raising Hope) who will play a hacker at BreakWire, the online news outlet that employs Martin (Kiefer Sutherland), and who occasionally watches Martin's mute son, Jake. Also for a recurring role is wanted Adam Campbell
(known for his recent role in Parenthood) and he will play a friend and business partner of new series regular Calvin (Lukas Haas).
Although it's been exiled to Fridays I'm keeping hope that with every episode it will rise to the occasion and it will kick some ratings ass. Second starts on October 26 and don't forget to mark your calendars. And make sure you've watched every single episode from its first season and I assure you you will not regret doing that.
